Big Dog Hydraulic Disconnect
The Big Dog Hydraulic Disconnect manufactured by Access Downhole, LP represents one of the most important components of the BHA. It is an essential part of releasing the tubing from the BHA in the event it becomes stuck in the wellbore. It provides this safety feature while also being resistant to the tension and torsion of rigorous operations.
External Slip-Set Connector
Access Downhole’s Coiled Tubing Slip/Set Connector stands as the first line of transition from the coiled tubing to a BHA. As such, it also represents a change in rigidity from the coiled tubing itself. It is important that the design accommodate this change with good deflection properties, as well as good dynamic seal elements to maintain the integrity of the rest of the BHA configuration.
CT Internal Dimple Connector
The Access Downhole CT Internal Dimple Connector was designed to fill the needs of customers where the practice of utilizing dimple connectors is a historically successful practice. This tool is of greatest utility in treatments where the BHA is exposed to great amounts of torque, whether from the downhole motor or from the wall contact force of the coiled tubing.
Weld-on CT Connector
Access Downhole’s Coiled Tubing Weld-on Connector represents a more permanent affixing between the coiled tubing to a BHA. As such, it also represents a more fluid rigidity transition from the coiled tubing than a standard slip connector.
DIRT Tool
The DIRT Tool functions as a large scale vacuum cleaner for producing wellbores. It was created initially as a remediation solution for removing plug parts and chemical waste left over from the completion phase. The DIRT tool utilizes altering cross sectional areas within the tool to create high speed fluid movement with lower flow rates.
Dual Circulation Sub
The Access Downhole Dual Circulation Sub is a simple with multiple means of activation. It was designed in part as a means of emergency circulation when any of the BHA components below it in the string become plugged off. A secondary utilization being to alter the direction of flow when changing the fluid type (adding acid, N2, etc.)
Initially the sub can be functioned by utilizing the emergency bust disc if circulation is not possible. There are multiple pressure limit selections for the disc itself; the most common few being 5,000psi, 6,500psi, and 8,000psi.
Jaws of Wire
Access Downhole created the Jaws of Wire tool to be the superior tool for retrieving broken, parted, or damaged items from the wellbore. It utilizes hydraulic and mechanical functionality to perform this task.
Steady Trigger Jar
Access Downhole’s Steady Trigger Jar was designed to perform more efficiently in longer laterals. It was also purposed to be a more robust bi-directional jar where the generally available options fall off in utility in the laterals currently being drilled by operators. The Steady Trigger Jar also still maintains the adjustable functionality with respect to timing and impact adjustment based on downhole conditions.
